Ang Trapeang Thmor wildlife sanctuary and community
Ang Trapeang Thmor is a unique wetland ecosystem giving home to over 200 bird species including the endangered Sarus Crane. The population of the Sarus Crane species in this area rose consistently over the years to number more than 300 birds today. 18 of the existing species in Ang Trapeang Thmor are being classified as globally or near globally threatened. The project in Ang Trapeang Thmor tries to help prevent the birds from disappearing. Banteay Chhmar Temples & homestay
Banteay Chhmar Temple is one of Cambodia’s national treasures. Dating from the Angkorian period, it is a precious and irreplaceable link to the cultural heritage of the Khmer people. There are countless Buddhist images and startling bas-reliefs of Angkorian-era life that signify its importance as a temple complex. For 800 years, the temple has remained mostly undiscovered and untouched. Banteay Chmar Temple is on Cambodia’s tentative list for submission as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Reaksmey Phoum Pir Kiri Boeung Kranhak Ecotourism Site
The Community‐Based Ecotourism Site- Reasmey Phum Piri Kiri Boeung Kranhak was established in 2014 and officially recognized by the Kampong Thom Provincial Governor on October 2, 2015. It lies within two officially‐designated community forests and consists of a beautiful natural lake surrounded by forest on the eastern shore, and covers an area of 193 hectares.
It is important to know that this site is relatively new and has had only a limited number of travellers. There is very limited English, but in exchange guests get a "real" Cambodian experience.
