Day 1 – 8am start
Your English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel in Banlung (breakfast organized by yourself)
Travel by motorbike/car to Taveng village
Take the boat up the O’Tabok stream, observe birds and flowers along the ride. If the water allows it, you can swim at Choeur Teng Cliff and listen to the sounds of nature. Have lunch and take a nap in the shadows of the trees. After rest, continue to Community Protected Area (CPA) Mondul Yorn, an ethnic Brao village on the outskirt of Virachey National Park.
Mondul Yorn offers 7 homestays, which are equipped with basic materials (mattress, mosquito net, toilet). Arrive at your personal homestay and make contact with your local host family. You can rent a kayak, go fishing with the villagers and try yourself if you like, take a bath in the river, relax in a hammock or sit at camp fire and taste rice wine. Get some rest after an early local dinner as the sun sets around 6 pm and an exciting hike lies ahead of you the following day.
Day 2 – 8am start
After a local breakfast, we go by boat 20 minutes North to Roy and Orn Chong fish pools and take a relaxed stroll into the forest nearby. Your guides will explain the local fauna and flora and use by the villagers. You will also walk on part of the old Ho Chi Minh Trail.
After we return to the village, you will have a delicious local lunch.
After lunch, we make our way back by boat to Taveng.
