Koh Samseb Homestay

Koh Samseb has attractive traditional homestays in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Mekong. The village of O’krieng Commune, Sambo district in the Kratie and Stung Treng border provinces, has 3 homestays in the village. They offer you the experience of the local lifestyle and the comfort of the homestay overnight. You can explore the village and share meals with your host family at your homestay.

Koh Samseb provides you the opportunity to explore rural life where you can enjoy the experience and learn more about local life in countryside, and living in a wooden house in rural Cambodia. You can explore the houses around the village, the orchards and vegetable gardens, and taste traditional Khmer cooking. Each homestay has electricity, and each house has Khmer style bathroom. The host families are known for the quality of their home-cooking. Guests sleep on comfortable mattresses under a mosquito net.

Getting there

From Phnom Penh you need to take VIP bus service to Kratie (about 5 hours) and get off when you reach Kratie bus station.

You can book a bus to Kratie on Book Me Bus

Once you arrive in Kratie, you can call the local bus driver (the project manager can provide you with his number when you book.) It is about an hour from Kratie to Koh Khnae (which is the base for exploring Koh Samseb), heading north on National road 7.
