Description

The full day rural village experience gives you an authentic taste of village life in Cheung Kok, Kampong Cham. Equipped with an extremely knowledgeable English speaking guide, you will learn about rice production, silk krama weaving, and the history of the village on your village tour. Next, sit down for lunch with a local family to sample Khmer cuisine; rice with delicious produce fresh from the market.

Afterwards, try your hand at krama weaving, bamboo carving or rice cultivation (dependent on the season) with local villagers.If you wish, bicycles are available to cycle (10minutes) to nearby Phnom Pros/Phnom Srey mountain for a view over Kampong Cham. Otherwise, you can choose to relax in the village.

This is a great option for those wanting an all-inclusive package without being be part of a tour group. All the trips are run as private tours with your own transport (cost included in the price of the package) and flexible itinerary.

We are not a tour company, however we recognise that some of our visitors like to have an all-inclusive option while travelling to ecotourism destinations. This is a great option for those wanting an all-inclusive package without being be part of a tour group.

Our suggested itinerary is below (There is some flexibility in your schedule and changes can be made to accommodate your personal preferences. Please note some additional charges may apply if you wish to add additional activities.)

7/8am – To get the most out of the day,  we would recommend to leave your hotel at 7 or 8am

11am – Arrive at Cheung Kok Village and tour the village
12noon –  Lunch with local family
1pm – Hands-on Khmer experience
3pm – Relax in the village
3/4pm – Depart Cheung Kok via pre-arranged transport.

Getting there

The Village homestay Cheung Kok is located approximately 7 km west from the centre of Kampong Cham and approximately two and half hours from Phnom Penh.

You are about to book an all-inclusive full day trip to Cheung Kok village. This package includes transport to and from one chosen pick-up point in Phnom Penh. Once you have booked the package our staff will contact you to confirm your pick up point  and the exact time from Phnom Penh.

We are not a tour company, so you can choose the time and location of your departure.

If you wish to travel from other locations, we are happy to arrange it for you.
